Deep Tissue

This type of massage therapy is firm and targets the muscular system’s tight and usually larger stronger muscles. During this massage I focus on deep and intrinsic muscles. Deep tissues massage can be a bit of uncomfortable pain at times with long lasting relief. There are benefits from manipulation of the deeper layered muscles, tendons, fascia and other connective tissue. ​By using deep techniques like forearm dragging, slow methodical strokes along with kneading this modality is highly recommended by many doctors, physical therapists, athletic trainers and sports specialists.

Sports Massage


This modality is focused on massage techniques most helpful for someone who is athletically built or participates in sports although it doesn't matter the level participation. Sport massage's primary focus is working on muscle groups associated with a person's active lifestyle. It targets muscle that pertains to the activity taking in consideration repetitive motion, limited range motion and muscle that are aggressively used. People who are generally pretty active benefit widely from a sports massage. The techniques involved are invigorating, energizing and awaking to a muscled area. Sports Massage has established popularity nowadays because more people are physically more aware of their bodies, filling gyms and flooding yoga rooms across the world. Some people are engaging in some sort of sport competitively a lot more too. So, regardless if it's for pre-events or post event Sports Massage is incredibly beneficial.

 

Myofascial Release


Myofascia is soft tissue throughout the body. When tense it can cause myofascial pain known as Trigger Points. This syndrome which is identified by tightness and or stiffness can be relieved with attention specifically to the trigger points.

These trigger points usually located in common areas are believed to be the epicenter and cause of the pain people experience. A specific focus on these areas provides relief along pain patterns associated with the trigger point(s) of that particular muscle.

 

Prenatal

Expecting mothers feel great about the upcoming birth of their child. Unfortunately, they are pleasantly forced to deal with a lot of stress and strain from their changing body. Prenatal like traditional massage therapy, benefits expecting mothers with a focus on relieving tension and soreness from muscles while assisting and improving circulation. By using a firm style of massage lymph drainage occurs which decreases swelling in areas of concern for expecting mothers. As with all massages they are adjusted to accommodate the client’s needs.
